This Cookie Policy explains how CuePoint uses cookies and similar technologies on our marketing website at www.cuepoint.cloud. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
Our application at app.cuepoint.cloud uses only strictly necessary cookies required to run the service (for example, authentication and security). It does not use advertising or behavioral-analytics cookies.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to improve security, and to provide information to site owners about how their site is used. Some cookies are set by us (first-party) and some by third-party providers we use.
2. Strictly necessary cookies
These are required for the site and our cookie banner to function and are set without your consent because the site cannot work properly without them. They do not track you for analytics or advertising. This includes the cookie that remembers your cookie-consent choice.
3. Analytics and session-analytics cookies (consent required)
We set these cookies only after you accept them through our cookie banner. If you decline, they are not set and no analytics tracking occurs. If you accept, the following may be set:
Google Analytics (Google LLC)
Used to measure site traffic and understand how visitors use the site.
| Cookie | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | Distinguishes unique visitors | 2 years |
| _ga_<ID> | Persists session state for Google Analytics 4 | 2 years |
| _gid | Distinguishes unique visitors | 24 hours |
| _gat / _gat_gtag_<ID> | Limits the rate of requests | 1 minute |
Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation)
Provides heatmaps and session replays that visually represent clicks, scrolls, and navigation, to help us understand how the site is used. Microsoft Clarity records interaction with the page; we enable content masking so that text you type into fields is not captured.
| Cookie | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
| _clck | Persists the Clarity user ID and preferences across visits | 1 year |
| _clsk | Connects a visitor's page views into a single session recording | 1 day |
| CLID | Identifies the first time Clarity saw the user on any Clarity site | 1 year |
| ANONCHK | Indicates whether the browser ID is used for advertising (for Clarity, set to 0) | 10 minutes |
| MR | Indicates whether to refresh the Microsoft browser ID | 7 days |
| MUID | Identifies unique browsers across Microsoft sites | 1 year |
| SM | Used to sync the Microsoft browser ID across Microsoft domains | Session |
Cookie names and durations are set by Google and Microsoft and may change. The current authoritative lists are published by those providers.
4. Your choices
- Cookie banner: You can accept or decline analytics cookies when you first visit, and you can change your choice at any time by reopening the cookie settings from the link in our footer.
- Browser controls: You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Some site features may not work if you block strictly necessary cookies.
- Google Analytics opt-out: Google provides a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics across sites.
5. International data transfers
Google and Microsoft are based in the United States and may process data collected through these cookies outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, transfers rely on the safeguards described in those providers' own privacy and data-processing terms.
6. Changes and contact
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above. Questions about this policy can be sent to legal@cuepoint.cloud.
