Rules for appropriate use of CuePoint.

1. Overview
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to all users of CuePoint — including Tenant account owners, managers, and staff. By using CuePoint, you agree to comply with this policy. This AUP is incorporated into and forms part of the Terms of Service.
2. Permitted Uses
CuePoint is designed and licensed for the following purposes:
- Managing billiard table sessions, including start, pause, stop, and transfer.
- Running point-of-sale transactions for table time and product sales.
- Managing customer records for your billiard hall.
- Managing staff accounts and shift tracking for your own employees.
- Recording reservations, memberships, loyalty programs, and expenses.
- Generating reports and analytics for your own business operations.
- Downloading data exports for your own internal use.
3. Prohibited Uses
You must not use CuePoint to:
3.1 Illegal Activity
- Violate any applicable law, regulation, or government order in any jurisdiction where you operate.
- Engage in money laundering, tax evasion, or any fraudulent financial activity.
- Record transactions that misrepresent the nature of the underlying commercial activity.
3.2 Unauthorized Access and Security Abuse
- Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems other than your own authorized tenant workspace.
- Probe, scan, or test for vulnerabilities in the platform without prior written authorization.
- Bypass or circumvent authentication, rate limiting, or security controls.
- Use automated scripts, bots, or crawlers to interact with the platform outside of documented APIs.
- Introduce malware, viruses, or other harmful code.
3.3 Data Abuse
- Enter sensitive personal information beyond what is reasonably required for billiard hall operations (e.g., government IDs, financial account numbers, health information). Where a customer is a minor, enter only the minimum information necessary for hall operations, and only after obtaining any parental or guardian consent required by applicable law.
- Store personal data for purposes unrelated to your billiard hall operations.
- Use CuePoint as a general-purpose data warehouse unrelated to its intended function.
- Share, sell, or transfer customer data from CuePoint to unauthorized third parties.
3.4 Platform Abuse
- Share your account credentials with individuals who are not authorized staff of your business.
- Resell, sublicense, or provide access to CuePoint to third parties as if it were your own product.
- Interfere with the availability or performance of the platform for other users.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of CuePoint.
3.5 False or Misleading Information
- Provide false information during registration or in account details.
- Misrepresent your identity, your business, or your authority to act on behalf of a business.
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits or suspensions.
4. Tenant Responsibility for Staff and Customer Data
As a Tenant, you are responsible for:
- Ensuring your staff use CuePoint in accordance with this AUP.
- Obtaining any legally required consent from your customers before entering their data into CuePoint.
- Complying with applicable privacy and data protection laws in your role as data controller for your customers' and staff's personal data.
- Responding to your customers' data privacy requests (e.g., access, correction, deletion) in a timely manner, and coordinating with us where our assistance is required.
5. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any use of CuePoint that violates this AUP, or if you suspect a security vulnerability, please report it to support@cuepoint.cloud as soon as possible.
6. Enforcement
We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations of this AUP. If we determine that a violation has occurred, we may:
- Issue a warning and request that the violating activity cease.
- Temporarily suspend access to your account.
- Permanently terminate your account and subscription without refund.
- Report the activity to relevant authorities where required by law.
We will use reasonable judgment in determining whether a violation has occurred and in selecting an appropriate response proportionate to the nature and severity of the violation.
